The Andaman Islands are one of India's most breathtaking destinations — turquoise waters, white-sand beaches, coral reefs, and lush tropical forests. But timing your trip right can make the difference between a dream holiday and a washed-out one.
Best Season: October to May
The ideal time to visit Andaman is between October and May. During these months, the weather is pleasant with temperatures ranging from 23°C to 30°C. The skies are clear, the sea is calm, and it's perfect for water sports like snorkeling, scuba diving, and sea walking.
Peak Season: December to February
If you want the absolute best weather, plan your trip between December and February. This is peak tourist season — expect pleasant temperatures around 25°C, minimal rainfall, and excellent underwater visibility for diving. However, hotel prices are higher and popular spots can get crowded, so book well in advance.
Monsoon Season: June to September
The monsoon hits Andaman from June to September with heavy rainfall and rough seas. Most water activities are suspended, ferry services between islands can be disrupted, and some beaches become inaccessible. We generally don't recommend visiting during this period unless you're specifically looking for a quiet, budget retreat.
What to Pack
Light cotton clothes, sunscreen (SPF 50+), waterproof bags for your electronics, reef-safe sunscreen for snorkeling, comfortable sandals, and a light rain jacket even in the dry season. Don't forget your underwater camera — you'll regret not having one at Elephant Beach!
Our Recommendation
For first-time visitors, we recommend our 6N/7D Andaman Delight Tour starting at ₹34,999. It covers Port Blair, Havelock, Neil Island, and Baratang — the perfect introduction to these magical islands. The best months to book are November, January, or February for ideal weather without extreme peak-season crowds.
